WHAT does being /BŌLD/ mean to you?

Being Bold means living your life to the fullest regardless of fear or reservation. It means not letting worries of what may happen stop you from experiencing all that life has to offer. Whether it be where you go, who you are in relationship with, or what you choose to do with your life, BE BOLD! Don't let fear stop you from living the most full version of your life as the most full version of you. 

What is your favorite Megaformer move?

I LOVE Cobra, anywhere on the machine. This move targets your abs and triceps in such an amazing way. Plus, it makes you feel so strong. It's one of those moves that most people don't get on their first attempt, which makes that moment when you get it all the more exciting. 

If could have any super power what would it be?

Definitely the ability to fly. I love to travel, and the one thing that stops me from doing that is how much a plane ticket costs! If I didn't have to worry about that, I would be in a new country every week!

WHAT DOES BEING /BŌLD/ MEAN TO YOU?

To me, being BOLD means thinking outside the box, speaking your mind, taking chances, and most of all, living your life bravely and authentically.

What is your favorite Megaformer move?

I really appreciate Reverse Tailbone Angel because it does it all and feels like a true full body move. It primarily works the center core as well as the upper back but it also incorporates hip flexor strength and recruits muscles from throughout the obliques and trunk to stabilize during the move. It requires a good deal of balance and patience, all the things I love about Lagree!

tell us a fun fact about you?!

I run trail ultramarathons for fun! The longest race I've completed is 100 miles. It's super tough to train for and to ultimately complete, but I love both the mental and physical challenge.

WHAT DOES BEING /BŌLD/ MEAN TO YOU?

Being BOLD means being yourself especially when there's pressure to conform. Stepping forward when you know you should but can't quite see the way forward clearly. Laughing out loud when something is funny and making up songs about life in the moment (aka: "life opera"). 

What is your favorite Megaformer move?

My favorite Megaformer move is the, Mega Donkey Kick. I love the name of this move. It cracks me up and pretty much describes, in its name, how the move is performed.

IF YOU COULD BE AN ANIMAL WHAT WOULD YOU BE AND WHY?

I would choose to be a Peregrin falcon because I have always wanted to fly and a falcon can also protect itself.

Being BOLD means being brave, offering the world your true authentic self. For me it means to be strong instead of seeking out skinny, daring to be different from the pack and proud to be the one and only me.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEGAFORMER MOVE?

Plank to Pike, hands down. This move will get into every inch of your body as you hold a plank and work your way up to pike. My core will be on fire before the minute is up. 

What is your dream vacation destintation?

Africa! I'd love to be able to see some of my favorite animals in their natural habitats and also be able to spread goodwill by building homes or feeding the hungry.

WHAT DOES BEING /BŌLD/ MEAN TO YOU?

Strength, confidence and a willingness to get comfortable being uncomfortable. This is what BOLD means to me! It’s the moments that push me outside our comfort zone that I see how much stronger mentally and physically I am becoming. 

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEGAFORMER MOVE?

My favorite move on the Megaformer is anything ab focused, but since I have to choose, I would say Mermaid Crunch because I can target my obliques in ways I never thought possible… I guess you could say… I like the burn?

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be and why?

I’m very thankful for where I lived since I grew up in the Bay Area but I think I would move to London because of how eclectic the city as well as the incredible food scene! Having afternoon tea wouldn’t be so bad either!

WHAT DOES BEING /BŌLD/ MEAN TO YOU?

For me being BOLD means being fearless, daring, unapologetic for being me yet generous, kind and empathetic, having a smile at the ready.  Above all else, for me being Bold means being strong mentally, physically and spiritually.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEGAFORMER MOVE?

I have a few favorite moves, but if I had to pick one or maybe two... it would be Reverse Kneeling Inner Thigh and either variation of Spoon. Oh and I do love Reverse Tailbone Angel.  Oh man, picking one is hard BUT Reverse Tailbone Angel it is!  It incorporates everything, arms, chest, back body strength, center core, obliques for stabilizing & balancing, and hip flexors for maintaining weight of legs at an angle and of course squeezing quads and glutes.  It's a toughy but IT IS a goody. 

What Do you love most about yourself?

I love my positive competitive team spirit that inspires & rallies people together while pushing & striving for more but in a supportive fun way.  This spirit has helped me, family, friends , colleagues and clients alike strive to be their best selves, accomplish new goals, overcome obstacles and let their inner athlete shine through.

Being BOLD means Having confidence in yourself and not letting fear or anxiety get in the way of what you want to achieve in your life.

Mega plank to pike for the challenge. Chest opener for the vanity. 

What is your favorite hobby?

Fitness, playing guitar, and Netflix binges; but most of all spending time with my family, friends and pets.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEGAFORMER MOVE?

This is a tough one to answer because every move is awesome. If I had to pick one, it would be plank to pike. You get all the benefits of using your core but it also works the arms (with shoulder mobility) and engaging the muscles in your legs.

What do you love most about yourself?

Believe it or not, getting over the fear of public speaking. I thought to myself, “how to I break free from being scared to speak publicly?” Since I love all things fitness…..being able to educate students about the great benefits of self care and helping them with their fitness goals, why not? Since I started teaching in 2011, it has really helped shape the person I am today. I definitely owe it to all the studio owners who gave me a chance to shine.

Living a healthy lifestyle and doing things that make you happy is what being BOLD means to me. We can not always control our lives or our environment; however, we can always find the little things that bring us daily joy to our lives.

Scramble Eggs - While I love my eggs over medium, scrambled eggs is the best way to work both of your obliques and really feel wrap around your torso!

WHAT DOES BEING /BŌLD/ MEAN TO YOU?

Being BOLD means pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone to be the best you that you can be. It means dedication, passion, and vowing to never give up.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEGAFORMER MOVE?

Giant Reverse Plank to Pike. It's a difficult but incredible ab-shredding, total body move that makes me feel like I can conquer the world.

If you could trade lives with anyone for a day who would it be and why?

I would trade lives with Emily Harrington, She's a world-renowned climber from Lake Tahoe and spends her days climbing some of the hardest routes around the world, including Mount Everest. She's a total inspiration.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEGAFORMER MOVE?

Kneeling crunch on the back platform, I love how your core and obliques are instantly engaged as you pull against the springs to crunch the carriage in.

What is the #1 thing on your bucket list?

The number one thing on my bucket list is to travel more- Greece, Machu Picchu and Iceland are my top three spots!

My favorite move is the Standing Outer Thigh because I can stand still and push against all forces!

 I am most proud of the love we have in our family.
