FAQS

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Please don't be late! Late comers risk losing their spot to someone on the waitlist or a walk in. You have a 5 minute grace period before a walk-in is able to take your spot.

If it is your first time, come 10-15 minutes early. This provides enough time to sign the waiver, meet your instructor, have a proper introduction to the Megaformer, and take care of anything else you need to do before class. New clients who are late will not be permitted to take the class.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

Grip socks are required for every class. We require socks to ensure the health and safety of all class participants. You can bring your own or purchase a pair in studio. We also suggest bringing a water bottle (no glass) and small towel.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

We have an 8 hour cancellation policy. This means that you can cancel your class reservation or make a class switch up to 8 hours before the start of your class and the credit will be returned to your account for future use. 

 

LATE CANCELLATIONS

All reservations must be canceled through either the BOLD app or online.  

For clients enrolled in the 8 classes per month or 12 classes per month memberships, as well as those using a package, all late cancellations will result in a loss of class credit. No fee will be incurred.

 

For clients enrolled in an unlimited membership, all late cancellations will result in a $10 fee. 

NO SHOW

For clients enrolled in the 8 or 12 classes per month membership, as well as those using a package, a “no show” will result in a loss of class credit and a $10 fee.

 

For clients enrolled in an unlimited membership, a “no show” will result in a $15 fee.

HOW DOES THE WAITLIST WORK?

In order to add yourself to the waitlist, you must have class credits in your account. If a spot opens up, you will be notified via email.  If you unsubscribe from our email lists, you will not receive an email and it’s up to the client to check the status of their reservation within the app.  

You will automatically be added to the class roster if a spot becomes available up to 8 hours prior to the class start time.

You can remove yourself from the waitlist at any time without penalty.

Please note that all classes have an 8 hour cancellation policy. If you are added to a class from the waitlist and fail to remove yourself before this window, late cancellation and no show policies will apply. Keep an eye out on your waitlists!

ARE THERE SHOWERS ON-SITE?

We do not have a shower, but we do offer dry shampoo, facial cleansing wipes, and other essential toiletries for a seamless transition to and from Bold.

CAN I TAKE CLASS PREGNANT?

If you're pregnant and new to Bold, we require a note from your doctor confirming you can participate in a 50 minute resistance training class. You can email the note to info@beboldstudios.com.

If you are a regular and pregnant, we encourage you to continue taking classes. Make sure to tell your instructors before class so they can better support you!

CAN I BRING MY KIDS?

Our studio space is not insured for children, so for liability and safety reasons, we cannot have unattended children in the studio.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

For liability reasons,  pets (with the exception to service animals) are not allowed inside the studio during a class.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

BERKELEY: There is metered parking along College Ave and free street parking in the surrounding neighborhood.

WALNUT CREEK: There is metered parking in the surrounding streets as well as parking garages. We are closest to the North Locust St. Parking Garage. The first hour is free!

IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?

You must be 14 years or older to take class at Bold.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

We are happy to convert your class pack and/or membership to a credit to be used toward Bold; this credit will not expire.  However, we do not offer full refunds.

CAN I PAUSE MY MEMBERSHIP?

All memberships will automatically renew each month. Unused classes do not roll over to the following month. 

If you plan to cancel your membership, you must email 7 days prior to the renewal date.  If you cancel with less than 7 days notice, you will incur a $50 late contract cancellation fee. 

 

If you need to put a membership on hold, you will need to request a contract freeze in writing via email.  Any contract freeze longer than 7 days will result in a $15 fee.
